Myaungmya Public Hospital Superintendent, Dr. Than Min Htut Spearheads Environmental Awareness Campaign with the Slogan “Clean Myaungmya”

Dr. Than Min Htut, the superintendent of Myaung Mya Public Hospital, along with his team members conducted environmental awareness campaign on June 30, 2019 at MUAS Chapel Hall. In his speech, he pointed out that population growth as one of the factors of environmental pollutions. As the more human populates, the demand for surviving of human also increases. He explicated that air pollution, water pollution, ground pollution, chemical pollution, waste electronic pollution and especially plastic pollution are the main causes that are overwhelming and frightening our lives and community. Thus, everyone is responsible for the health and wellbeing of our communities, economics, city, state, country and it should be a global effort to achieve the sustainable development of our environment.

“Every act of human has consequence. It could either be negative or positive. The earth we live to day have been impacted by the negative consequence of our acts. Should we continue the way we do today, there will be more pollution, that will bring diseases to haunt human”, he said.  As such, He urged everyone to act responsibly and take the first line of leadership in healing the earth.

The event concluded with an exchange of partnership promise between MUAS and Myaungmya Public hospital superintendent, Dr. Than Min Htut to actively participate in “Clean Myaungmya” environmental movement through spending time to collect trash along the city.
